Desperate for God.

“……and he cast away his garment.” Mark 10:50. This as the action of a bling begger that cried to Jesus and his cry was answered. Jesus Christ was passing through the land of Jericho.

The blind Berger Bartimaeus was a man that was born blind he grew up to the life of begging depending on others for his daily bread which may come and may not come but there came a day in his life the Jesus was passing by and gott to a point that he would not mind what the people will say. And he shouted out to Jesus (verse 47b) for mercy.

Most times in life we always believe we can do it on our own in our own way but at the end of the day we see that we can only archive the best or reach out maximum potential when we call on God and wait on him.

Until you reach that point in your life called the wits end, we may never be desperate for God.

How to be desperate for God.

  1. You must be tired of your current status or result. The blind Berger was tired of his daily begging routine and when the day came he heard that Jesus was passing by and he shouted.
  2. You must realise that you need help from a greater source. It is said that you don’t try to help a drowning man who is still fighting the waves. If you still have options in your arsenal  then you cannot be desperate for God because you need to see him as your final and ultimate help.
  3. Go to Him who is able to help you. When you need help from man, you go to where help is likewise you go to God in prayer and action by putting your whole faith in Him no matter how small.

At some time or the other in our lives we need to be desperate for God in our lives as he is the only one who is able to help us and make a way of escape for us.
